If you want to route your whole home through a VPN or tinker with advanced settings, the Flint 2 punches far above its price. WireGuard throughput close to 900 Mbps is remarkable for a $160 box.
It is less hand-holding than an eero, but for the technically curious it is the most flexible router on our list. With the WiFi 7 Flint 3 now shipping at ~$199, watch for Flint 2 clearance deals — at $114 it is a steal.
