Why we recommend it
The Blink Outdoor 4 is the entry point for outdoor cameras: two-year battery, painless install and deep Alexa integration. Budget for the subscription — or the local-storage route via the Sync Module — for its best features.
In our testing the highlights were clear: two-year battery life on two AA lithiums; 1080p day and infrared night video with two-way talk; weather-resistant and installs anywhere in minutes; amazon-native: flawless Alexa and Echo Show integration.
It is not perfect — person detection and cloud history need a Blink plan; 1080p only — no 2K like Reolink and eufy rivals. For most buyers in this category those trade-offs are easy to live with, but weigh them against your setup before you click buy.
