WiFi & Mesh Routers

How we ranked these routers

We don’t run a test house, so we rank on what can be checked: each maker’s coverage and speed ratings, read against long-term owner reports rather than taken at face value, plus the firmware update record and the things router reviews usually skip — how good the parental controls really are, what the security subscription actually costs over three years, and whether a non-technical person can set it up alone.
