The Gryphon AX is what you buy when parental controls are the point, not a bullet item. Profiles, bedtimes and app limits are managed per child at the network level — far harder to bypass than device apps.
In our testing the highlights were clear: deepest per-child profiles of any router we’ve tested; bedtime, homework mode and app-level limits from one app; filtering happens at network level — hard for kids to bypass; mesh-able: add a second Gryphon for bigger homes.
It is not perfect — wiFi 6 only — no WiFi 7 or 6 GHz; advanced malware filtering needs a subscription after trial. For most buyers in this category those trade-offs are easy to live with, but weigh them against your setup before you click buy.
