For most families the Deco XE75 is all the router they will ever need, at a price that leaves budget for other protection. Coverage across our 4-bedroom test home was solid with zero dead zones.
HomeShield covers the security basics for free, with an optional upgrade if you want more granular parental controls. The app does nag toward paid extras — ignore it and you still have a great mesh.
